Sports personalities, including Raef Bjayou, Shaun Wright-Phillips and industry pundit Mark Wright*, unite for a VIP Day at Brighton Racecourse this October 8th in support of Arms Around the Child and the late Brighton Marathon runner, Sam Harper Brighouse.

Brighouse, aged just 23, tragically died this year during this esteemed annual Brighton race, as part of his fundraising campaign in support of Arms Around the Child. In honour of his memory, Arms Around The Child and Brighton Racecourse is dedicating one Race to this young fallen hero and all proceeds from ticket sales will raise funds for his preferred Charity, in his memory.

According to Sam's entire family:-
"We are extremely moved that Brighton Racecourse is dedicating a race in Sam's name to this great fundraising day - he would have loved that. It brings a sense of comfort to the entire family, in the midst of such great loss, that money can continue to be raised for Arms Around The Child in Sam's name".

According to Ellie Milner, European Director for Arms Around The Child:-
"I am humbled and honoured that Sam's family has agreed to support essential fundraising activity for Arms Around The Child. As a mother myself, I can't begin to imagine the scale of their loss, particularly when October would have been Sam's 24th birthday. It really does hit home how precious each moment is on this planet and we all really encourage people to come and celebrate Sam's life with us on October 8th 2013".

Arms Around the Child is an AIDS charity committed to supporting 16 million plus Asian AIDS orphans and children living in adversity: including those experiencing sexual abuse, neglect or exploitation.

The late Sam Harper Brighouse had been fundraising for this essential and live-changing organization prior to his tragic sudden collapse during this year's Brighton Marathon.

Every penny raised from this fantastic annual VIP Charity Day will be testament to Sam and his family and to the lives that Arms Around The Child is changing on a daily basis.
