Fri, Nov 21, 2014

Care Roadshows sixth and final stop for 2014 was at Brighton Racecourse on Tuesday 18 November. It may have been the last event of the year but it certainly wasn't the least with a record number of visitors attending the south coast show.

Exhibitors were able to showcase their latest products and services to care industry professionals looking to drive their business forward. From the latest Care Management Systems to innovative bed washing devices there was a good range of products for visitors to try out on the day. Attendees were also able to talk face to face with suppliers of services to understand more about their products and find out how they would work for their specific business needs.

The free educational seminar programme running throughout the day hosted leaders in the industry including Pauline Cameron from the DSDC and Sheila Scott from the National Care Association allowing visitors to stay on the pulse of the latest news within the care sector.

Gale Stirling for the CQC gave the first seminar of the show and there was standing room only left as visitors flocked to hear the latest updates and what to expect from the CQC in 2015. Lisa Delaney from leading food company apetito ran an informative session on nutrition and eating concerns within care homes that got visitors focused on how to approach meal times for those in their care.

Exercise therapy experts Oomph gave visitors a boost of energy as they demonstrated their activity ideas in short workshops that took place throughout the day. Those that attended the show were also able to take away not only a wealth of knowledge but bags of goodies to try out for themselves - there was certainly no shortage of hand sanitiser for these care professionals!

Care Roadshows will be back in 2015 at six locations across the UK.
