August Festival at Brighton Racecourse

Fri, Jul 29, 2011

It's that time again. Brighton Racecourse's August Festival, 3rd to the 5th.

Growing in popularity every year the three days kick off on the Wednesday 3rd with John Smith's Raceday. With a Meatloaf tribute act performing before an afternoon of fantastic racing, which includes the richest race of the year, there are great discounts today for big groups.

For the ladies of East Sussex its time to pick out a hat and treat themselves to a new dress, as Ladies Day returns to the coast.

Brighton Racecourse will host the event on Thursday 4th August. It promises to be one of the hottest tickets in town and the racecourse has teamed up with local car dealership Frosts Cars, so look out for some very special prizes for the Best Dressed Ladies. Enjoy live music from Lady Gaga tribute act entertaining the crowds before racing.

Callum MacKay, General Manager at Brighton Racecourse said: "Ladies Day is an exclusive event designed to offer a great day out for groups of friends, families and work colleagues.
"Ladies events at the races have become increasingly popular and Brighton Racecourse Ladies Day is no different seeing numbers grow every year, having been established for over 10 years."

No Ladies Day would be complete without PIMM'S and bubbly and Brighton will be no exception, with plenty of space to enjoy champagne on the lawns, terrace or grandstand, as well as a selection of food onsite.

The final day is the newest addition to the festival, Albion In The Community Raceday. We have teamed up with the Albion Football Club to provide a Park & Ride service on match days at the new AMEX stadium and the 5th August is where the pre-season party starts. Albion fans will receive a special discounted ticket on this day with a donation from every ticket sold going to the Albion In The Community charity.

Gates open at 12.00pm every day. Tickets are priced from £12 in advance.
