Abba Racenight Returns to Fontwell Park!

Mon, Apr 29, 2013

Start the Bank Holiday weekend at Fontwell Park as Abba Racenight returns! Coming back for the first time in 4 years, Abba Racenight has historically been one of Fontwell Park's most popular meetings and this year will be no exception.

Tribute band "Abba Magic" will be performing some of the Swedish Superstars' greatest hits in a 75 minute set after racing. Founded in 1994, Abba Magic have performed their versions of Abba's greatest hits across the globe, as well as for celebrities such as Frankie Dettori, Richard Branson & Cilla Black.

Gates open at 3pm, with the first of 7 races set to start at 5pm. The music will start approximately 30minutes after the last race at 8pm.

Friday 3rd May also sees the launch of the new Paddock Hospitality Restaurant, which has been under construction since the start of this year. As well as intense cleaning, new carpets, lighting and heating, a new outside decking terrace to offer superb summer dining has also been installed.

General Manager Tracy Skinner said, "It has been a mammoth project to renovate the existing marquee structure in place at Fontwell Park. We've sited the decking very carefully so that this offers prime viewing to the stage when this is in place at Fontwell, and think this development now offers a great way to enjoy Hospitality in contrast to the formal surroundings of the Premier Lounge."
