At Brighton Racecourse we do not operate with a specified dress code and instead encourage all racegoers to make sure they are comfortable.
There is no strict dress code, although many visitors choose to dress for the occasion and a smart/casual look is often adopted by many racegoers. Our only stipulation is we cannot permit sporting team shirts or offensive fancy dress.
Our priority at Brighton is making sure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us. Please remember race meetings at Brighton are predominantly outdoor events, and racegoers should be mindful of the weather when deciding what to wear.
For the glamorous occasions such as Ladies Day and Gentlemen’s Day, racegoers make an extra effort to dress up. It’s definitely worth the effort to dress to impress if you want to be in with a chance of winning some of the fantastic prizes for best outfit!
