Commanding spectacular panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside, and within walking distance of the city centre, Brighton Racecourse offers a great day out for all the family.
Featuring a unique horseshoe-shaped track, it is one of the few racecourses in the country that doesn’t form a full circuit. About one mile and four furlongs long, it’s a left-handed course, used only for flat racing, and with binoculars, spectators can observe the majority of the track from the grandstand.
The highlight of the calendar is the three-day festival in early-August, which includes The Brighton Mile, The Brighton Challenge Cup and The Brighton Bullet.
If you’d like to see the runners, riders and timings for an upcoming Brighton Racecourse fixture - each racecard is available to view and download the morning of a racing event.
