Three days, one hill (and a lot of hooves): our Festival of Racing kicks off on Wednesday 4 August. It's the big week of our summer and the best of horse racing in August, Brighton style, with half the town up on the Downs.
Day One brings some of the standout racing of our year. The runners sweep round and drop downhill to the finish, and the noise on the rail could lift the roof off, if we had one. Head to the parade ring first. You'll be close enough to hear the horses snort as they walk round.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
