Bring the whole clan (grandparents very much included): Sunday 22 August is one of our feature days at Brighton Racecourse, with an afternoon of Flat racing by the sea. It's horse racing in August at its most laid back.
The horses come thundering down the hill towards you, and there's nothing like it. Lift a little one up at the rail to watch them fly past and you'll have a racing fan for life. Then let them pick a favourite in the parade ring for the next race.
Last August this Sunday was our Family Fun Day, with a dinosaur show, face painting and free funfair rides. Plans for 2027 are coming soon. Bring a picnic blanket, because there's loads of space, and squeeze in one more adventure before the school holidays end.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
