Skive off in style (we won't tell): Tuesday 27 April brings an afternoon of Flat racing to Brighton Racecourse. The season's barely three days old, and horse racing in April doesn't come with a better view.
Early in the year, nobody quite knows who's on form, which makes every race a bit of a mystery. Watch them sweep round the turn and hurtle downhill to the line. Then wander over to the parade ring, where you can hear the jingle of the bridles and see every twitch of an ear.
The Channel sparkles on one side, the Downs roll away on the other and the crowd is pure Brighton: friendly, local and up for a laugh. Pick a horse for its name, its colours or its swagger. It might just work. Tickets for 2027 are [CONFIRM 2027 ON-SALE DATE AND PRICE].
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
Concessions discounts are only available on the day.
