Brighton Racecourse is set to launch its 2026 flat racing season with a spectacular celebration combining thrilling horse racing and irresistible live entertainment. The Season Opener on Saturday, April 18th, will feature evening racing alongside a headline performance by ABBA The Party on the big stage, transforming the iconic Sussex venue into a disco by the sea.

Racing Under the Setting Sun
The 2026 flat racing season at Brighton kicks off on Saturday with a 7 race card promising thrilling racing action all afternoon. The first race is set to start at 16:05 and the last race will jump off at 19:30! Last year's Season Opener saw Tony Carroll's first of many Brighton doubles of the season. Time Patrol, equal 3rd winning most horse of 2025, also had his first win on the day piloted by Jack Doughty. The Season Opener therefore remains a must see for all and provides a great insight into what is in store for the rest of the season!
