17 March 2020

Following this afternoon’s announcements from the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and Arena Racing Company (ARC), we can confirm that all horseracing fixtures across the group will take place behind closed doors from Tuesday 17 March until at least the end of the month.

To date the current situation doesn’t affect racing at Brighton Racecourse as our season doesn’t start until Saturday 18th April, however we will continue to update any communications should this situation change.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this causes, but no one beyond the minimum essential staff required to operate the raceday will be admitted.  Unfortunately, racehorse owners will not be permitted entry to the site, as will anyone who turns up on the day.

Anyone who has booked, or are looking to book, tickets or hospitality, who’s affected in the future during this time of ‘behind closed doors’ racing will be offered to reschedule their booking or receive a full refund.  In this instance, please contact: Brighton Racecourse on 01273 603 580.
