Our 2019 racing season starts this weekend on Saturday 20th April, for an Easter bank holiday spectacular!
For the first time we’ll be opening the season with a Mad Hatter themed race day, with live entertainment, Easter treats and a few surprises!
Live Samba band, Barulho, will be performing as gates open at 2.30pm, whilst Rum specialists, Rumblin’, will be serving their finest cocktails, creating a carnival atmosphere on what looks to be a scorching bank holiday weekend.
The Mad Hatter himself will be in attendance and you may even spot the white rabbit, giving out Easter eggs around the course. Whether you are with family or friends you’ll be sure to be entertained ahead of the racing.
We’ve created a very secret pop up cocktail bar serving Wonderland themed cocktails in our Grandstand. Discover for yourself through the rabbit-hole maze!
Our head chef has produced a Wonderland of delights with a bespoke Mad Hatter menu, so book your place in our Silks Restaurant and experience an afternoon of first-class hospitality.
Wear your best hat to be in with a chance to win a £300 cash prize at our Best Hat on the day. Whether it’s designer, vintage or homemade, get your head wear ready and join the Mad Hatter parade.
Once you’ve studied the form and enjoyed the entertainment, our first race of the season will start at 4.45pm on the most unique and scenic racetrack in the South! With views across the south coast and a thrilling evening of flat racing, it’s a race day not to be missed.
