Welcome to your essential guide to our Retro Raceday!


We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton Racecourse for a day of exhilarating flat turf racing and live entertainment. We hope this guide gives you a good overview of all that's taking place today, and answers any questions you may have.


 KEY TIMINGS:


Gates and concessions open – 12:00pm

MyCharleston Dancers – from 12:00pm around the Racecourse

Style Awards – from 12:00pm at Flower Wall by the Racecard Kiosk

Car Display including Mitsuoka Le Seyde – from 12:00pm at Silver Ring Car Park

Moxie Dolls Singers – 12:20pm by the Picnic Lawn

First race – 2:00pm

Last race – 5:05pm


TRAVEL:

Please allow extra time to travel to and from the racecourse. If travelling by car, there is plenty of free parking available onsite.

Brighton Train Station is less than an hour from London and less than two miles away from the racecourse.

There is more detailed travel information here but please check local timetables and taxi services before departing.


 ENTERTAINMENT:

We have a wide variety entertainment onsite including live performances from the Moxie Dolls singers and MyCharleston dancers before racing, as well as Jeremy Clarkson’s very own Mitsuoka Le Seyde car on display from gates open at the Silver Ring Car Park.


STYLE AWARDS:

We also welcome the Style Awards back to our Racecourse which is set up at the Flower Wall located next to the Racecard Kiosk. The Style Awards is free to enter and awards the best dressed racegoer £250 to whoever finishes first, as well as prizes for those placed second and third.

Entries Open – from 12:00pm

Entries Closes – 2:15pm

Finalists Contacted – 2:45pm

Final Judging & Winner Announced – 3:40pm


WEATHER:

The forecast for Friday afternoon is sunny intervals and a moderate breeze by early evening, with highs of 15 degrees (as of Wednesday 5th June). Please check the local forecast before departing and dress accordingly!


FOOD & DRINK:

A range of bars and food outlets are available serving a variety of tasty food and refreshing drinks. A range of vegetarian and vegan food options will be available across the racecourse. Please be aware that no food, drink or picnics can be brought into the racecourse except in the case of a severe food allergy, in which case we ask you to contact us directly to arrange bringing in your own food.


SECURITY:

We take security and safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.

We ask all visitors not to leave bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.


PAYMENT:

Please remember, that all of food outlets and bars are card only but we advise you to also bring cash for betting purposes. There are no cash machines on site so please bear this in mind.
